The Cues&Darts team defends the title

The reigning champion is Cues&Darts, the challengers in the Dutch premier league three-cushion (Kozoom league) are ready to seize power, and the long competition has a reputation thanks to many world-class players in the teams. The competition starts next Sunday, September 14, one day after the Grand Prix final in Sittard. The competition, with a few stops, runs until Sunday, May 3. Twelve teams have been divided into the highest division, with the best-known players being Dick Jaspers, Eddy Merckx, Frédéric Caudron, Torbjörn Blomdahl, Tayfun Tasdemir, Jérémy Bury, Martin Horn, Nick Polychronopoulos, Ruben Legazpi, Roland Forthomme, Glenn Hofman, Jean Paul de Bruijn, and Jeffrey Jorissen.

The outcome of the previous playoffs is still fresh in our minds. Cues&Darts became champion in the match with Team Babbelz, which had been in the lead for a whole year. The climax included two wins by Glenn Hofman against Frédéric Caudron.

Frédéric Caudron led the individual averages ranking with 2.066, ahead of Eddy Merckx with 1.979, Martin Horn with 1.859,  Glenn Hofman with 1.805, Jérémy Bury with 1.765, and Dion Nelin with 1.776. Torbjörn Blomdahl enters the competition with 1.803.

Cues&Darts, Babbelz, Team Eekhoorn, and Zundert competed in the playoffs for the top prizes. Those four teams have remained evenly matched. Roland Forthomme returns to his old nest and is the new leader of Zundert.

The competition starts on Sunday, September 14, with matches including Cues&Darts-SIS and Bousema against Team Eekhoorn. The first double weekend is on October 4 and 5, followed by a day off the next weekend. The last round of 2025 is on December 21, the 11th round. The schedule continues on January 11 with the 12th round. In the second half, the premier league will be on hiatus from February 22 to March 22. May 2 and 3, 2026, will be the last weekend, a double round including the match between Cues&Darts-Babbelz, this year's final.

All matches in the Kozoom league will be broadcast live.
