Roland Forthomme launched the competition for his team with 40 in 8

In the Belgian team competition, half of the first-round matches have been played this week. Roland Forthomme was the undisputed star on Tuesday evening. He finished his match against Ronny Brants 40-15 in 8 innings: 5.000 average, run 14. That was a fantastic start to the competition for Herstalien, which won 8-0 over Kortrijk, but also for Op de Meir, which had already won 8-0 against Zevenbergen last week. In that match, Jef Philipoom shone with 2.666 on average and Roland Uijtdewillegen with 2.352. Forthomme, who played a few minor matches in Germany, suddenly found his best form. He started with 14 and followed with 7 for a 21-1 score in 2 innings. ,,I was happy that I could score 15 points'', said Brants after the match.

The match was especially exciting at T's Place against De Leug, which ended in a 4-4 draw. Peter De Backer (T's Place) defeated Jeffrey Jorissen 40-38 in 32, and Therese Klompenhouwer (De Leug) was the better of her Dutch teammate Huub Wilkowski 40-34 in 39.

Royal Bruges defeated De Ploeg 6-2.
