Turkish winner in GP Blois: Mustafa Ceylan

BLOIS – The final podium was reserved for two Turks, one Dutchman, and one Dane. The ultimate winner at the Longoni Grand Prix next gen was Mustafa uguz Ceylan, who proved to be the strongest in the final against Danish talent Daniel Kristiansen in Blois, France: 35-19 in 27 innings. The podium was completed by Joris van 't Zelfden and Selahattin Ozkul. The tournament was part of a three-way competition for under-21 talents in Europe. The preliminary rounds in four groups started with 21 players. The best games were initially played by Amir Ibraimov with 25 in 10, Tangui Duriez with 25 in 14, Mustafa Oguz Ceylan with 25 in 14, and in the final phase, Joris van 't Zelfden with 35 in 19 (1.842).

The following players qualified for the quarterfinals: Daniel Kristiansen from Denmark, Daniel Sainz-Pardo from Spain, Joris van 't Zelfden from the Netherlands, Amir Ibraimov from Germany, Selahattin Ozkul from Turkey, Tangui Duriez from France, Mustaf oguz Ceylan from Turkey, and Marcos Morales from Spain. The first surprise came in the quarterfinals by Joris van 't Zelfden's victory over Amir Ibraimov 35-29 in 19. Ceylan beat Morales 35-29 in 25, Kristiansen bested Sainz-Pardo with 35-28 in 36, and Ozkul beat Duriez 35-31 in 35.

Mustafa Ceylan then defeated his compatriot Selahattin Ozkul 35-22 in 30 in the semi-finals, while Daniel Kristiansen was the better of Joris van 't Zelfden 35-26 in 29 innings thanks to an intermediate run of 8. In the final, Ceylan left no doubt as to who was the best. Daniel Kristiansen, who also played an excellent tournament, quickly found himself behind, and Ceylan ultimately triumphed 35-19 in 27.

In the final standings, Mustafa Ceylan had 16 match points and an average of 1.179 (highest run 10). Daniel Kristiansen won the silver medal with 11 points and 1.044. Amir Ibraimov played the best game with 2.500 and had the highest run with 13.

Dutchman Luca Philipoom and Portuguese player Goncalo Santos just missed out the knockouts and finished in 9th and 10th place. Philipoom played an average of 0.909 with a highest run of 10.
